Resettlement
The Dublin Simon Resettlement Service assists people who are currently homeless to secure appropriate long term accommodation.
We Work With
- Individuals, couples and families
- Over 18 years of age
- Homeless
- Those registered in housing need (homeless priority) with Dublin City Council, South Dublin County Council, Fingal County Council or Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.
- Motivated individuals who want to pursue independent living
Referrals
- Full referral form and procedure are available by contacting the office directly on the number below
- An application form must be completed prior to interview
Service Provision
Dublin Simon Resettlement workers meet with service-users with the goal of working with them to identify appropriate accommodation options and to support them through the steps necessary to access that accommodation.
The Resettlement service fosters links with local authorities as well as a range of social housing providers and landlords in the private sector.
Care Planning
The work of the Resettlement team begins with an assessment to identify the needs of the service user. This allows the Resettlement worker and the client to target the best options for move-on accommodation and to design a Care Plan that can make this a reality.
In addition to finding and securing accommodation the Resettlement worker will assist the client in accessing community supports to help them to maintain that tenancy.
Other
The Resettlement team offer a clinic every Tuesday from 2.30 – 4.30. This enables clients to get a full service introduction. This service is by appointment only.
