Home is more than just a roof over our heads; it’s where we should feel safe, a place to enjoy family and where children feel loved and secure when they’re tucked up in their beds. Yet, for some, this dream is fragile, threatened by circumstances beyond their control.
This Easter 1,423 families with 3,083 children are in emergency accommodation in Dublin. The capital is facing a shocking new record of 10,000 people living in emergency accommodation. Hundreds of people who are desperately searching for somewhere to live.
The people and families we help often describe the feeling of absolute fear and helplessness they experience when they receive a notice to quit or find themselves with nowhere to go.
You can be a part of their story. We need to make sure families do not become homeless. Please donate what you can today so Dublin Simon can prevent this family from becoming another number in emergency accommodation.
