Emergency and Outreach services preparing for busy weekend ahead of Papal visit
As a result of the increased traffic and crowds heading into Dublin’s city centre for the visit of Pope Francis, supporters have expressed concerns for people rough sleeping in the area.
Our Rough Sleeper and Soup Run teams will be operating on the streets as usual, and will be finding accommodation for people as well as medical intervention and food for anyone who finds themselves sleeping rough over the weekend.
All of our emergency and supported accommodation will continue, uninterrupted, providing our essential services to those who rely on us.
If a member of the public sees anyone rough sleeping over the weekend and fears for their safety, then they can contact the following options:
- They can log their whereabouts via the DRHE website and a this will be followed up on.
- Otherwise you can go to the Dublin Simon Community website and contact our Rough Sleeper Team directly by clicking here.
The public can also continue to support our Emergency and Outreach services throughout the year by clicking the ‘Donate Now’ button below.
